Description: Antique 1920s Brown & Purple Silk Velvet Burnout Floral Drop Waist Dress AS IS. This is an authentic 1920s dress made from a gorgeous hand painted brown velvet burnout with pink and purple flowers. The drop waist is gathered slightly at either hip. There is no closure for this piece and it is sleeveless. The bottom 8 inches are made from a brown silk mesh. This piece is in decent condition for its age but has issues. There is a major hole in the back of the right shoulder and tearing at the seams as well as overall wear to the dress due to its age. We have not attempted to clean this piece. We don't advise you to try wearing this dress due to its fragility. This piece would work best for design or reworking purposes.
