The top of the lantern lid is marked NEW YORK CENTRAL and has the most recent patent date of, what appears to be, DEC-13-10, indicating a patent of over 100 years ago. The top of the smoke dome is marked DIETZ VESTA NEW YORK U.S.A. The glass globe is embossed NYCLINES as well as CNX, MADE IN THE U.S.A., DIETZ VESTA NEW-YORK U.S.A. The lantern is in complete, original condition. Wire cage is complete. No splits or holes. Couple tiny Rust. The globe has some flakes to top and bottom rim but no cracks or repairs.
