Description: Presented is an antique, American coin silver gravy or sauce ladle made during the early to mid 1700s. We believe this piece was made by Jeffery Lang of Salem, MA. The time period is correct for this maker and the ladle was acquired at an old estate in Marblehead, MA, which is the town next to Salem. This piece is done in a classic, rounded antique pattern and the top of the handle has a monogram of the letter W. The back is marked I * L, likely for Jeffery Lang. This piece has been tested and is guaranteed to at least 900 purity silver. This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There is surface wear commensurate with age and use but no dents and no repairs. Length: 7 3/8 inches. Weight: 62 grams. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
