Description: For sale is a pair of brass lever-action hazelnut nutcrackers from the Georgian era (England, mid-to-late 1700s). They measure 3 5/8" long and they have an engraved decoration on the outer side of where the nut is held. While the arms show some expected wear, being over 200 years old (!), the nutcracker works fine - the hinge is fully intact. I don't see any maker's markings, so I'm not sure exactly who made them.
