Description: Antique 18c Pair German Silhouettes Water Color & Ink Framed Dated Dec 17, 1777. Cut-out silhouettes, watercolor and ink on paper, the first depicting a lady attired in a white lace cap with blue ribbon, and a black dress with white apron, inscribed on the reverse "Anna Margaretha Auffenbauer geb. In 17 December 1777," the second depicting a gentleman, attired in a white shirt and vest, black cravat > and overcoat, each mounted on paper within a gold oval surround, and housed in what appears to be the original silver-gilt frame.
