Description: This listing is for an antique 1850’s Civil War Era Pewter Teapot by Morey & Ober, Boston. Measurements are: 8 1/2”tall, and 9” wide.The Teapot has a circular foot pedestal flat bottom base rising in a pear shaped pot. The handle and spout lip has decorations of grapes, vine, and leaves. The teapot has an approximately 4 cups capacity. There are minor scratches, and one shallow dent. The hinged lid is attached, and the inside of the pot has some natural patina stains, but NO rust. The teapot has a nice warm, dark gray patina, and has not been cleaned or polished. This lovely teapot has been a part of my personal collection for many years.
