Description: Original antique 1848 bound volume of the Victorian woman's magazine, "The Mother's Assistant and Young Lady's Friend." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have moderate wear with some loss to the cloth at the extremities of the spine and some closed splits along the length. The binding is good and sound. There is a period name inscription to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age with some scattered foxing. Along with that there is likely the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor spot of soiling or grubbiness, tiny chip, small tear, creased page corner, etc. The book measures approximately 8 3/4 inches by 5 3/4 inches. It contains the issues from January 1848-December 1848 and is illustrated with 6 black and white engravings and is 142+142 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
