Description: Outstanding Antique 14K Gold Diamond Figural Butterfly Ring Cigar Band Rose OMC Outstanding Antique 13K Gold Diamond Figural Butterfly Ring Cigar Band Rose OMC Wow, what a fabulous example of an antique figural butterfly wedding ring in 13K gold. Tested by GIA at exactly 13K gold via eBay authenticity guarantee program. Natural earth mined diamonds accent this lovely butterfly. Two rose cut stones and two old mine cut stones. The band has an ever so slight rose gold tone (presently rose gold colored ring) to it and I am not sure if polished out if it will be yellow gold or stay rose. I have left the rose gold patina. The cigar band of this ring was decorated at one point, but much of that decoration has long since worn away from a collection of former owners who have clearly loved and enjoyed wearing this piece for well over an estimated 150 years. The band, based upon the heavy wear, is most likely older than the applied butterfly based upon the wear. Potentially from the Georgian time period. This looks to be an assembled piece as would have been common place during the Victorian time period to repurpose older jewelry to make something new. Wouldn't you love to be the next owner?
