Description: ANTHONY ROBERT KLITZ OIL PAINTING CHANGING OF GUARD BANK OF ENGLAND LONDON RARE IMPRESSIONIST QUEEN ROYALTY GUARDS! Additional information for this piece. It's the changing of the Guard at the Bank of England this armed duty ceased in 1973 as armed police took over the duty. It originally consisted of 1 officer 3 NCO'S and 30 guardsmen and a drummer. At a guess the painting is pre 1963 as it was a reduced detachment travelling vehicles from Wellington Barracks in order to conceal automatic weapons. The frame is 32" x 28". There is some damage on the back but not on the painting and it could use a cleaning. Awesome painting !! It would make an excellent addition to any collection.
