Description: ANRI Juan Ferrandiz Girl with Lambs Good Shepherd Carved Figure. We collect vintage Fiesta-ware but often come across great items in our travels. This hand-crafted, hand-painted wood carving was designed by the artist Juan Ferrandiz, a painter and poet. He received his artistic education in Barcelona, Spain, and devoted himself to the design of figures based on children's themes. His collaboration with ANRI allowed the ANRI's master carvers to bring his designs to life. Juan Ferrándiz passed away in August 1997, at the age of 79.This 6" sculpture was carved from a single block of wood. Every cut was worked by hand and every detail carefully hand-brushed with special transparent, oil-based colors so that the beauty of the wood grain remains visible. "Ferrandiz" facsimile signature (his personal stamp of approval) incised on the back of the base. NOTE: We have several ANRI figures listed for sale and will be happy to combine shipping.
