Description: Estate Find Ann BartonHeart ShapedMarilyn MonroeVanity Dresser Set We offer a heart shaped boxed vanity dresser set featuring a table top framed photograph of Marilyn Monroe. The photograph is a 5" by 7" studio still from the 1950 issued movie “The Asphalt Jungle” in which she had a small part early in her career. The picture has slight tinting to the image. The dresser set is unmarked but the heart boxed sets were merchandised by Ann Barton in the 1950s.The vanity set is unused and was found at the bottom of an old blanket chest. There are five manicure utensils, a comb, a hand mirror, a brush and a lidded powder jar. There are decorative panels featuring a Siamese dancer with a pagoda in the background possibly influenced by “The King and I”.As seen in the photographs, the decorative panels on the back of the brush and hand mirror have raised edges which can be easily glued back into place. The heart shaped box measures 14 3/4” in width and 15 1/4” in length and 3” in height.Overall the set is in very good unused vintage condition.
