The gutters on many pages appear to have been repaired, which seems to have cause a slight wavines/warp to the text block, most apparent in the first few pages, where tension lines are visible. Also, the pages up to ~ pg 8 are a little tight at the gutters due to repair. See photos for condition. Hard cover boards have dampstaining on bottom fore edges, and top/bottom of spine. Fabric is heavily toned/darkened, dark splotches. Spine sunned. Board corners curling in. Fabric cracked and thinning on fore edge dampstains. Front and back endpaper toned and lightly foxed. Pen and marker and pencil on ffep. Pages toning around edges. Some pages have small blemishes, such as small dot stains or smudges. Most gutters are widened with binding thread visible - in a few spots, there's some splitting in the gutters (crack between pages in gutter visible), but binding thread is intact, so feels robust (not loose or tender). Some pages opposite illustrations have toning. Pages appear clean and clear of highlighting, writing, markings, underlining.
