Description: Bf-109A was the first serial modification of the famous WWII fighter. It was constructed by Willy Messerschmitt at the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke AG in Augsburg. First flight of the Me-109V-1 took place on 5/28/1935 and went into production in 1936. 20 to 22 examples of the Bf-109A were produced and most were sent to Spain in 1937.
