The frame is not included. There is a water stain visible on left in the photographs, but was edited out for the reprint. Raymond Desvarreux Larpenteur is a world-renowned military artist who lived from 1876 - 1961. Most noteworthy among his many honors was the Gold Medal 1st Class of the Societe Francaise, a Lauresteship in the Academy Francaise and the Legion of Honor. He was decorated by four other nations. Mr. Desvarreux painted the original paintings in Paris, France in the mid-1950's exclusively for Alfred "Uncle Red" B.C. Batson. Mr. Batson, with approval from the artist, offered exclusive reproductions for the public to obtain and enjoy. The original print is shown in the 4th photo in frame.
