Description: Amberina Reverse Vase Early American Glass Victorian Antique Shabby Chic Victorian antique vase. The major producer of Amberina in the U.S. was the New England Glass Company, Toledo, Ohio, who patented the process in 1883 and thus prevented competitors from making the glass without a license. It's successor, the Libbey Glass Company made the glass into the 1890's. Amberina Glass ranges in shades of light to dark red and sometimes fuchsia at the top to shades of light to darker amber at the bottom, or visa-versa in which case it is called reverse Amberina. It measures approx: 8 inches tall. The top measures approx: 2 inches across. There are no chips or cracks. It is hand-made for this reason you can also see some bubbles in the inside of the glass this is just part of the glass blowing process. Photos are taken in natural light; actual color(s) may vary. Item is as pictured and comes from a smoke and pet free home.
