The covers have soft corners/tips, and minor scuffing/fading to the spine, but still overall a nice, bright presentable copy. Binding is tight and boxed. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. Fun Fact 1: Nelson Bond was quite prolific with short-stories in the 1930's & 1940's, and was awarded the Nebula Author Emeritus award for lifetime achievement in 1998. The story printed in this issue dates back to 1949 and prior. Fun Fact 2: Edmond Hamilton was first published in 1926, and became a mainstay in the group of Weird Tales writers such as H.P. PhillipsWallace West Nelson Bond Don Wilcox Edmond Hamilton H. Beam Piper David H. KellerG. Peyton Wertenbaker Amazing began in 1926, and was the first magazine fully dedicated to science-fiction. In doing this, Amazing brought about and helped define a new genre of pulp fiction. The content was a blend of fact and science fiction. It published first stories by such greats as Isaac Asimov, Roger Zealzny, Thomas M. Disch, Ursula K. LeGuin, John W. Campbell Jr. and others. There was a low period early on where the stories that were reprinted had the authors not properly paid. With some periods of hiatus, Amazing has been in publication for over 90 years. It has changed publishers and editors many times, going through various format changes. Never a major seller or holding a wide subscription base, it is is still acknowledged for having a major impact on the sci-fi & pulp genre and publishing industry. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
