Description: The Alwood is a dark blue-black grape similar to Concord, but having larger berries. It ripens 3 weeks earlier. It is very productive, often having 3 clusters to a shoot. Vines are very productive, disease resistant, grows well in a variety of soils and cold hardy zones 5-9. There’s nothing quite like homegrown grapes on a warm summer day. Their sweetness and burst of flavor are unmatched! Grape vines are an attractive addition to any garden and can be trained to grow up arbors and around fences where they can create a living barrier or enclosed space.
