Aluminum casting ingots, these ingots are recycled from automotive or marine castings with no pistons, this provides an ingot that is very close to 356 alloy. They are poured with a tilting furnace for melting and standing crucible furnace for fluxing drossing and degassing. This is the same Aluminum that I use in my own castings for machining etc. These ingots are sized to fit in the USPS Flat-rate mailer boxes for the best cost to you. Shipping on small orders can be as high as $1.00 per lb so I have set the order sizes to get the most reasonable shipping, Each package has a scale photo that shows a net weight This aluminum is sold with a weight exceeding 28 lbs. The ingot count will be between 16 and 20 ingots due to variances in ingot size 2/3 full USPS medium flat rate box 28 + lbs this works out to 3.57 per lb. The space in the box is taken up with a slab of 2" foam that can be used in making lost foam patterns. This gives you something you can actually use instead of peanuts.
