Set a timer or smart plug to run the pump for 2 minutes to fill the table to 2" dept of water. I run the timer twice a day during the hot months, and once a day during the cooler part of the year. Growing plants this way uses 85-95% less water and eliminates the backbreaking work of digging in the ground. Growing in perlite eliminates the need for weeding and helps to keep pests away from your plants.
