Description: Antique Alsace Bronze Medal featuring on one side a Woman in Traditional Dress and on the other side a View of a Town with a Nest and White Storks on a Chimney. The Medal was designed by G. Prud'Homme for the celebration of Alsace return from Germany to France after WWI. It is marked: Upper Left: Alsace. Lower Right: G Prud'Homme. Lower Right: 1919. Bottom Edge: an illegible hallmark before the word Bronze. Measures: 2 3/4" high x 2" wide x 1/8" thick. Weighs: 4.2 ounces. In good condition with No dings, or scratches. The front has a darker patina than the back. The back has some coloring which looks like it may have been attached to something at one time. We did not take remove it from anything. We did NOT polish it.
