Some History on the famous Alpine Village Inn in Las Vegas; The long gone Alpine Village Inn was last located at 3003 Paradise Road, across the street from the Las Vegas Hilton. Famous for their Chicken Supreme Soup and their Seasoned Cottage Cheese appetizer, this place began serving German food in a downtown location in 1950, then moved three or four times before settling into its final location on Paradise, in 1970. Las Vegas; 1950 Downtown location opened(presumably by Ray E. Dambach) at 905 North Las Vegas Blvd. Later became The Chalet. 1953 Moved to Maryland Parkway near Tropicana “across from the University”. This is the location referred to as “Two miles off Hwy 91 on Bond Road”. Phone number was Dudley 4-9749. Hwy 91 in those days was also called the LA Highway, but is now known as the Las Vegas Strip. 1958; Hershel Leverton and John Marion were in talks to buy the Alpine Village Inn, Inc. from Ray E.
