Copy belonging to property master Tony Teiger (presumed), with "Props." in manuscript ink on the title page. Based on Alistair MacLean's 1968 novel, and sequel to J. Lee Thompson's 1961 Academy Award-winning film, "The Guns of Navarone," also based on a MacLean novel. Set during WWII, US Colonel Barnsby (Ford) plots to strike a crippling blow to the brutal Nazi forces, but not without the help of Major Mallory (Shaw), and the most skilled soldiers in the world: the Force 10 squad, fresh from its triumphant mission at Navarone. Ford was still riding the wave of success from his last film, "Star Wars" (1977), and director Hamilton was enjoying the profits from his last James Bond film, 'The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977) by the time "Force 10 from Navarone" went into production. Shot on location in Malta, Yugoslavia, Montenegro, England, and the Channel Islands. Blue titled wrappers with die-cut window in the British style. Title page present, dated September 29, 1977, noted as "Revised," with credits for screenwriters Chapman, Fraser, and Foreman, and novelist MacLean. 121 leaves, with last page of text numbered 119.
