Albert Nestler AG, a German firm located in Lahr, Germany and founded by Albert Nestler in 1878. In 1903 NESTLER marketed first success- fully »System Rietz«. It was made of celluloid veneer on mahogany. The factory closed in 1972. Nestler was also an OEM supplier to United States slide rule companies like Weber and Staedtler. 10" Full Size System Rietz Mannheim Slide Rule. Nestler's most famous Mannheim rule, the same kind used by Werner von Braun and Albert Einstein. Front Scale 27cm // K, A [ B, CI, C ] D, L || 1:25 Back Scale [ S, S&T, T ] On the back side of the slide rule is a table with physical constants. The slide rule is 29.4 cm (11.6 in) long. It has some micro scratches due the years of use, but generally in good vintage condition. There are close up detailed pictures on each half of the slide rule to get better view of its condition!
