Description: Albert Cushing Read, Sr [1887 1967] was an aviator and Rear Admiral in the United States Navy. In 1919 he commanded a crew of five and completed the first transatlantic flight in the NC-4, a Curtis NC flying boat. The flight began from Long Island, New York and was completed upon their arrival in Plymouth, England. Listed for auction is the autograph of Rear Admiral Albert Cushing Read signed on a page.
