AS the work of a prince of the blood-royal of Uganda, who has been educated at Yale and Oxford, “Africa Answers Back”, although in form a fictional biography, is a work which deserves more than casual consideration. African prince residing at 1536 President St., Bklyn. For the past year, he has been spending his days in the Botanical Garden library, preparing a book about Ebito, or flower language, a symbolic method of communication among his compatriots, involving the use of flowers, leaves, grass, seeds, twigs, clay, beads, animal hair, and stones. He is 42, a prince by virtue of being a son of the late Kyembambe, King of Toro, a state in Uganda, & a doctor by virtue of a Ph. D he took at Oxford in 1940. Starting in 1924, he spent several years at Howard University. He entered Yale Graduate School in 1931. A novel of his entitled "The Story of An African Chief," was published by Scribner's, after being discovered by William Lyon Phelps in 1934.
