He taught elementary school for many years. He enjoys art, history, travel and spending time at his cabin by a lake. He wrote this sequel to PHARAOHS ARROW after readers asked about Akias time alone in the desert. He has also written a story about making healthy friendships called ABBY BEECH. Review "Neebs story is engrossing and suspenseful, and his characters are far better defined than those often encountered in a childrens book. The artwork is marvelous! Neebs illustrations make the Egyptian background of the story come to vivid and colorful life. His pictures have the look and feel of the period they are depicting, and they work perfectly with the story as it unfolds. Neeb does much more than tell an entertaining story, however; he includes a glossary of the hieroglyphics to be found in the book as well as giving a tutorial for readers who want to recreate their own images of ancient Egypt. He gives pointers on how to represent people as ancient Egyptian artists did and gives the basics on how to make your picture look as though it were painted on papyrus rather than paper. Teachers should have a field day sharing this book with their class and continuing the lesson by having children experiment with crayons using the techniques taught in the book. Akias Adventure: The Sequel to Pharaohs Arrow is most highly recommended." -Readers Favorite "I have just read the engaging and delightful Akias Adventure, the latest childrens book by Author George Neeb. The tale is set in Ancient Egypt and follows the adventures of a young girl who, has recently arrived at Pharaohs court after the death of her beloved father (sequel to Pharaohs Arrow). The Author writes in lyrical poem format introducing the culture and mystery of ancient Egypt and by so doing educating the young reader in a fun way. The beautiful illustrations are inspired by funerary paintings from the tomb walls, some images immediately recognizable. I love the fact that the Author shares his painting methods of how to create the tomb wall effect with his young readers (or indeed, papyrus). These truly unique books will, I believe captivate not only children but their parents too..." -@rediscoveringtombart review on Instagram "The amazing traditional Egyptian style images and entertaining story make this rhyming work of art a winner!" -@kidsbookguru review on Instagram Long Description "...Engrossing and suspensful.
