Description: Artist: Giovanni Piranesi (1720-1778) Paper Size: 32 3/4” x 24 1/4"Artwork Size: 24” x 16” (not including the writing below the image) This engraving of the Trevi Fountain in Rome was done by Giovanni Piranesi in the 1700’s, but I don’t think this particular print was created until much later, possibly the early 1900’s. This print also has been colored. The bottom right corner of the image has a 15, but I could not figure out what that means. The back has a stamp that says FS 206/15. I am unsure if that is original to the print or put there by a dealer who owned it at some point. It is currently loosely rolled up in somewhat of an oval shape, as seen in the third photo. I will roll it in a circular shape and mail it in a cardboard tube. Due to the way it’s been stored, the edges have dings, bends, and tears. There are also a bunch of creases in the paper, most visible above the buildings on the left side and the right side of the center building.
