Description: Champkali necklaces like this get their name from resembling the flower blossoms of the local jasmine bush (chambaily). It is an ornate Afghan-Kuchi necklace with lots of charm dangles, red-beaded links, and coins. The charms just below the blue-beaded neck-cord are intentionally shaped like fish to celebrate femininity. Animals associated with water symbolize the female aspect, since both water and women sustain life. Full disclosure:The series of red-beaded links on this necklace were not really well made, in my opinion. They might disconnect and/or lose their beads. Were I keeping this necklace, I think I would remove those links, and re-attach just the coins to the charm-dangles. Regardless, I'm selling it very inexpensively. The cord is 20 inches long, with a button clasp. There may be very slight variations, but all will have the same design and components.
