Description: Administration Of Estates In Texas By W S Simkins 1908 Signed Judge Rice Maxey The covers are worn and stained (please see the photos.) Exterior edges of the pages have stains. Sound binding. Two previous owners have signed the book. Judge Rice Maxey dated February 18 1909. He was county attorney for Houston county from 1886-1890. He later on became prosecuting attorney for Grayson county and in 1900 he was elected a judge of the 15th judicial District, a position he held until 1905. The other signature I can't decipher.The book has a damp stain through the majority of it. The stain starts on the bottom edge of the front cover and extends till around page 550 before it fades and is gone around page 600 Please see photo 10 for an example of the stain. The author was a Professor of Law at The University of Texas in Austin. This is a first edition. It has a date of 1908 on the Title page. There is a preface by the author and dated August 1908. No previous printings or editions are listed. The book measures roughly 9.25" x 6.25"674 pages long
