Description: Up for sale is a set of 24 Adidas brand metal golf spikes with CER-MEC/Cermet (composite ceramic) tips. CER-MEC spikes are made by attaching a high-impact, high-abrasion cermet ball to a high carbon alloy steel post. There is a consistent bond between the cermet ball and the steel post. These cleats are manufactured by Macneil Engineering and the tips on these cleats are practically indestructible. You're more likely to wear down the shoes you're using before the cleats will wear down. I bought these cleats in bulk right about the time that metal golf spikes were disallowed from most all courses, but we didn't use these cleats for playing golf. We actually used these cleats to walk on the granite jetties where we used to go fishing along the gulf coast. Because the tips are practically indestructible, they performed very well for walking on the rocks to give us better grip and traction and cut through any slippery algae. I'm not suggesting you use these for that purpose, but that's what we used them for. So whether it's for fishing, playing golf, or aerating your lawn, these spikes are a great deal.
