Description: Hi,I have a very nice authenticated fabric piece from the Graf Zeppelin II LZ-130. What you might ask? The Graf Zeppelin II? Yes, its is the sistership to the LZ-130 and it is collectable. Ok, its not really the sistership to the Graf Zeppelin LZ-127, but to the Hindenburg. Read on to see why! My ref # Main Box LZ-130(A) First of all, if you have bought from me before, you know I am pretty detailed and write long War and Peace length listings. I am proud of what I have to offer. Why buy from me? I like to think that I know a thing or two about what I am selling. I spend hours if not days researching most of the items I put up for sale. Some require more research and explanation and others don't. Lucky for you, this one will be short!!! Item-One Authenticated 1/2" x 1/2" fabric piece from the Graf Zeppelin II LZ-130. It is adhered to a 6" x 8" Graf Zeppelin II photo certificate that also serves as the C.O.A. from Florian Noller. History-This piece of fabric from the Graf Zeppelin II LZ-130 was identified, certified and attached to a very nice Photo Certificate by none other then Florian Noller. Noller is an international renowned space dealer and other artifact expert located in Germany. If you have been collecting Zeppelin and/or space related items over the years, then you will know his name. He wouldn't put his name on anything he wouldn't guarantee himself. This piece is no exception and his signature is on the back of this photo certificate. Now, a bit more history about the Graf Zeppelin II. The LZ-130 was built using the blue prints of the Hindenburg but was modified to use helium instead of Hydrogen gas for obvious reasons, but was eventually filled with hydrogen because the U.S. wouldn't share its supply. Its first flight was in September of 1938. It was built with much more powerful engines then the Hindenburg and the LZ-127. It's gondola was also similar to that of the Hindenburg. It also had some updated electronics. It was ultimately dismantled in April, 1940, right after the LZ-127 was scrapped the month before. The Germans needed the duralumin for aircraft production for the war. The LZ-130 was used mostly as propaganda and never carried commercial paying passengers. The LZ-127 was the most successful of all of the airships, even with Hydrogen aboard. If the LZ-130 was allowed to be filled with helium and the war never was started, air travel might have been different today. I am sure with the scrapping of the LZ-130, Hugo Eckinger saw his dream die. Now, you don't have to suffer because you can own a piece of this almost famous Zeppelin! I am also including my rock solid L.O.A. that guarantees to the original buyer, that this relic is as I described, and if found not to be, a full refund will be given. You can beat that with a stick! You can place this photo certificate into a nice frame for display. Shipping-I take my shipping seriously. If you have ever purchased from me in the past, you will know that. Paper goods and photos are sent completely surrounded by acid free archival quality papers and/or acid free PVC free Polypropylene bags and covers. This cost me well spent money. I also use a variety of recycled and new packaging including boxes and mailers. I try not to profit on my shipping. Please do not misinterpret my shipping charges. No extra tape, glue, staples, or my worst fear, items shoved between two pieces of cardboard with tape on every edge requiring a surgeon's scalpel to open it!!! I will be adding many more Zeppelin, Airship and Aviation related photos, postcards and a variety of relics and other artifacts over the next few weeks and months. Check back with me every week to see what I have added. Please contact me first with any issues. Thanks for looking!!!
