Description: Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing. This is Yamaha FG-140 1969 Vintage Red Label Sunburst Acoustic Guitar. The serial number is a 7-digit starting with 1, so the previous owner believe it is from 1969. The entire body has had the paint stripped down to the wood, then sanded sealer and clear coat were applied with a mixture of Pure Stain for coloring. After the clear topcoat, it was wet sanded and buffed to a shine. All the lacquer used is Hamamatsu paint specifically for guitars, giving it a very clear and beautiful finish. The headstock with the tuning fork logo was cleanly removed, and instead, inlays and logos similar to those used on CJ models were created with cutting sheets and painted in. The tuners have some peeling plating but have been replaced with ones removed from an L-5. It has a cool sunburst finish. It is strung with unused Martin M140 80/20 Bronze Light gauge strings. It's a great deal. The hard case shown in the photos is NOT included. It will be packaged in a gig bag from the 10th photo onwards, and sent protected in a recycled cardboard box. The neck looks straight. The metal parts has discoloration. There are marks on the whole. The gig bag has signs of wear due to storage. Please inspect pictures for condition reference.
