He has published critical reviews and essays in a wide variety of newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times Book Review, The Village Voice, and The Christian Science Monitor. He is a Fulbright scholar, a graduate of the University of Iowa Writers Workshop, and book review editor for VIA. He lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.
