[10612] Two volumes, cloth spines, plain blue boards, boards are detached and the books are shaken with some detached signatures, 9 x 5 1/2 inches, "Mercantile Library" emboss stamps on binding, several oval ink stamps within; paper card pockets at the back of both volumes. Pink engraved bookseller's ticket inside volume one: "T. Walsh, Wholesale & Retail Book Seller, 25 Charles Street, near the Four Courts, Dublin." Each Dissertation numbered separately; the text of both volumes is complete. Vol. I. [i]-xxiv., [1], [1]-93, [1], [i]-iii, [errata leaf], [1]-86, [1]-114. Vol. II. [i-ii], [1]-74, [1]-113, [1], [i]-xvii, [1], [1]-162. This second volume is complete but no longer bound together. We found one torn page in the set, with no loss of text or paper. Robert Craig (c.1775-1829), b. Donegal, Ireland; d. Frescati, Dublin, Ireland. He graduated with honors from Trinity College, Dublin, in 1801, with premiums in Hebrew, Latin, Mathematics, and Greek (Gold medal).
