Description: Berea is a home rule-city in Madison County, Kentucky. It is best known for its art festivals, historic restaurants, and buildings, and as the home to Berea College, a private liberal arts college. The population was 15,539 at the 2020 census. It was formally incorporated by the state of assembly in 1890. It is located on the border of the Cumberland Plateau and has a mountainous appearance, but most outcroppings in the area have a maximum elevation of 2,500 feet. The Berea Pinnacles, located about forty miles south of Lexington, are thought to be the best hiking with spectacular views in Kentucky. They are located in the “Berea College Forest” with East Pinnacle about a mile southeast of the West Pinnacle. This card, published by the “Albertype Co, Postcards of Quality” chronicles “A glimpse into the Hills, Berea". It is in excellent condition with minor wear and a clean, clear, tinted image of the view of the valley beneath the pinnacle. There are a group of people on the pinnacle. The reverse has a neat message from "Beth" about school to "Dear Aunt Mae" and is clean.
