Description: A Dance to the Music of Times — Anthony Powell (Folio Society). This Folio Society edition contains the first three volumes of Anthony Powell’s masterpiece, A Dance to the Music of Time. Included are A Question of Upbringing (1951), A Buyer’s Market (1952), and The Acceptance World (1955). Powell’s talent for understated humor has not, I think, been surpassed. These are among my very favorite books. Powell was brilliant. None of the three novels included in this volume are very long; this volume, with all three, runs 496 pages long. This is a highly readable volume. I’ve read it, although you couldn’t tell. The book is in like-new condition. The Folio Society published it in 2006. It comes with the Folio Society’s slip cover (see the pictures). There is an excellent introduction by William Trevor. This volume is packed with illustrations at various points in the book — photographs, sketches, period posters, etc. I have shown a few of these in the attached pictures. Please note: I’m NOT a professional bookseller or DVD/vinyl seller. This is not a business for me. I don’t claim to know anything about grading the condition of used books or other stuff. See the pictures! Rely on the pictures. I’m just a guy who (sadly) needs to prune his overflowing library of books and records and movies and is letting some of them go, one by one. Mine is a smoke-free and animal-free home.
