Description: This is a 1984 Holiday Gifts From The Popcorn Factory Catalog. While the style of art direction is dated, it is beautifully crafted. The product photography is dark moody which was the desired effect for high end product shots in the early and mid eighties. The creative copy is humorous and was crafted to fit the page. A lot of time and effort went in to giving this catalog a distinct look and feel. But the main reason it was saved was for the cover illustration. It was by Alex Murawski, who was the king of pointillist illustration in the late seventies and eighties. His images were literally produced by making small dots with a fine tip marker or a Rapidograph pen. It was a very intense and time consuming process that would take weeks to produce one illustration. His perspective and lighting were always very dramatic. He was the most sought after illustrator for this pointillist style. The catalog measures approximately 8 x 9 inches. It is almost square. It is only 24 pages. I have posted every page so you know exactly what you are getting. It is in very good condition, but there are some very slight signs of age.
