Description: THIS BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE TAN SINGER FEATHER WEIGHT 221J (110V) CAN BE YOURS This Grand Lady is in superb condition. Her name is Emma. She has been tested and makes a great stitch. Overall, she is in amazing condition. The finish on Emma is in very good condition with a nice shine. The Singer decals on the light and throat of Emma are in wonderful condition. The red S badge on her still looks great. Emma has a graduated throat plate to make sewing easier. Emma was born in 1961, in St John’s Quebec (her serial number is JE160037). Emma has been cleaned, serviced, polished and tested. Her belt (super belt), light (LED) felt pad, protective silicon button, bed cushions and red spool pin cover are all new. Emma's motor pulley has been removed to check for thread. The rotary hook assembly and balanced wheel have also been checked for any thread. Her foot pedal has been cleaned and tested. The foot pedal is an original tan foot pedal with the original tan Bakelite plug. It is getting very hard to find these original tan foot pedals. A new Schmetz microtex needle has also been put in Emma. Her bobbin case has been adjusted to 23 grams. I have included a sample stitch that was done on Emma before I listed her. Emma's house (the case) is in amazing condition. The hinges and latches are in great shape. You don't find brown and cream cases in this good of shape. As with almost all cases that are over 60 years old there is some wear. (I have included pictures of both the inside and outside of the case to help describe the case, please look at them). Emma comes with a new reproduction owner’s manual (in pristine condition) 5 bobbins, an original bobbin case, an original pressor foot, a narrow hemmer, a ruffler, a bias binder, a bias binder gauge, an adjustable hemmer, a wide zipper foot, a narrow zipper foot, a gathering foot (AKA shirring foot), an edge stitcher, a tucker, a Singer seam guide, a seam guide nut, a vintage thimble, a vintage lint brush, a Singer oil can (for display only – I personally would not use the oil as it is over 60+ years old), a magnetic seam guide, thread snipers, a measuring gauge, a small brown Singer screwdriver, a large brown Singer screwdriver, 20 micro cleaning brushes, vintage package of Singer needles and a Featherweight zipper pull/charm. All the attachments are in a vintage Singer attachment box that is in good condition. (as with almost all attachment boxes there is some wear) If you need extra items for Emma, I have the following in stock: 10 extra bobbins $10.95 15 extra bobbins $16.95 1/4-inch Open toe foot $16.95 1/4-inch Hinged foot $18.95 1/4-inch Scant foot $18.95 1/4-inch Patchwork Piecing Quilting $18.95 1/4-inch Foot True with Guide $18.95 Stich in the ditch foot $18.95 Quilt binding foot $14.95 Presser foot (new) $5.95 Walking foot (even feed) $26.95 Thread Stand $23.95 (for use with cross-wound thread spools) Tote bags for Featherweight Cases (to keep case nice) Black $32.50 Red $32.50 Green $32.50 Navy $32.50 Pink $32.50 Padded travel bag (black) $74.95 Oil (Sew-Retro) $7.95 Grease (Sew-Retro) $13.95 4-inch magnetic trays with the featherweight Celtic knot inside $15.95 Bobbin tension meter $6.95 Buttonholer Attachment (Singer Vintage original) $49.95 Featherweight Zipper Attachment Bag 9.95 Featherweight Accurate Seam Guide, Square and Pocket Bag $32.95 Featherweight Zipper Pull/Charm $7 let me know and I will add them without any additional shipping costs. BEING WE ARE NEAR CHRISTMAS, IF YOU NEED NEXT DAY OR 2 DAY SHIPPING, I WILL WORK WITH YOU SO YOUR PRESENT MAKES IT IN TIME. I WILL HAVE TO ADJUST THE SHIPPING COST TO ACCOMIDATE YOUR REQUEST. PLEASE MAKE ME AWARE OF THIS AT THE TIME OF SALE. If you are curious about my featherweights and shipping please see my comments. The case measures about 11 3/4 inches tall, 13 inches across the front and 8 inches deep. The featherweight comes with everything seen in the photos. Please see pictures. The shipping box is approximately 21 x 14 x 13 inches and weighs 22 pounds. When I ship, I wrap the featherweight, any attachment box and foot pedal in packing cellophane then put bubble wrap inside the case. I then wrapped the case in cellophane. This way there is less chance of the finish being marred during shipping. I put inflatable air tubes around the case to cushion the featherweight while it is shipped. I take the spool pin cover off and put a piece of cardboard to cover the opening. I wrap the spool pin cover in cellophane and bubble wrap. I then put the spool pin cover in the case. This way there is less chance of it breaking during shipping. I write this so you have an idea of how I ship so you do not worry about the featherweight while it is coming to you.
