90s US Navy USS Halyburton FFG-40 Persian Gulf Southern Watch Cruise Jacket MED

Description: This Vintage 90s US Navy USS Halyburton FFG-40 Persian Gulf Southern Watch Private Purchase Cruise Jacket is in good, clean condition overall and only shows modest signs of age, storage and wear. The tag appears to note manufacture in Italy and size as "Medium." The jacket has numerous patches as well as the embroidered names of countries visited while in service and the "nickname" of it's previous owner (TIMBO). The embroidered Bald Eagle is very detailed and it's colors are rich and vibrant, no damage to the stitching or staining is present. A US Navy "Operation Southern Watch" patch and a HSL-44 "Swamp Fox" Helicopter Squadron patch present give clues to this garment's prior "service life." Two patches indicating crossing the Suez Canal as well as the Equator (Shellback) are also present. The jacket's sleeves are decorated with patches depicting the flag's of countries visited while on the cruise. The jacket's measurements are as follows: Shoulder to shoulder 20", Armpit to armpit 24", Shoulder to sleeve cuff 23" and collar to waist 26". All zippers and other hardware are clean and function as you would expect. There are a handful of mild stains on this jacket but none appear to be serious or causing further damage to the fabric or detract from display. The inner lining has a few small tears but no serious holes or other damage can be found. These types of garments were common "private purchase" items military personnel encountered while stationed overseas and are each unique in their own right.
