Description: Note that number in brackets in auction title is only my inventory number. Buyer pays postage only once. Any additional lots paid for at the some time sent free extra.Coin is a typical one cash coin (Roughly 24-25mm when originally cast). I bought a large hoard of these coins and the vast majority of identifable coins were in the name of Song emperors. There are an occasional Tang and even Han coin found but the wreck itself would have to date from the Song era as it contained Song Coins. Buyer gets the exact coin shown in the photo which was excavated from a Shipwreck. Note corrosion, possible sediment buildup and abnormal wearing patterns. Coin found on an unidentified Shipwreck in the South China Sea. It was probably a merchant ship - one of many that plied up and down the east Asian coast that was often not properly seaworthy. Coin has sediment buildup and corrosion as you would expect from spending hundreds of years underwater. A great item for coin and artifact collectors.
