Description: Please visit our eBay store for a complete list of in-stock Civil War relics organized by recovery location. We are working as partners in conjunction with Gettysburg Relics to offer some very nice American Civil War relics for sale. The owner of Gettysburg Relics was the proprietor of Artifact at 777 on Cemetery Hill in Gettysburg for a number of years, and we are now selling exclusively on eBay. THE BATTLE OF ANTIETAM / RECOVERED ON THE ECKERT FARM (THE CIRCLED AREA ON THE MAP) / UNION IX (Ninth) CORPS STAGING AREA FOR THE ATTACK AT BURNSIDE'S BRIDGE, ALSO AN ARTILLERY POSITION, AND A HOSPITAL SITE - RECOVERED BY THE SELLER - ANDY KEYSER - These 9 small miscellaneous relics, fragments of brass (8) and lead (1), include rivets, washers, and possibly bits of casings. One appears to be the catch from a woman's corset. They are small, the largest measuring about 3/4" long and total weight of 0.6 ounce. These relics were recovered on the Battlefield of Antietam on the Eckert Farm (private property, with permission), on the East side of Antietam Creek, between the Middle Bridge and Burnside’s Bridge. It was a Union artillery position, was the staging area for Burnside’s attack, and was also a hospital site. These artifacts were recovered by Andy Keyser, the seller, who hunted this area between 2009-2019. A provenance letter will be included. Thank you for viewing! All of the collections that we are offering for sale are guaranteed to be authentic and are either older recoveries, found before the 1960s when it was still legal to metal detect battlefields, or were recovered on private property with permission. Some land on Battlefields that are now Federally owned, or owned by the Trust, were acquired after the items were recovered. We will not sell any items that were recovered illegally, nor will we sell any items that we suspect were recovered illegally.
