Description: Offered is the vintage book "8th Marines Camp Lejeune NC 1959", published by the Army & Navy Publishing Co. This yearbook-style book of the 8th Marine Regiment of the 2nd Marine Division contains hundreds of black and white photos; small ones of each Marine, grouped by company, with name and rank, and some larger ones of the top officers (a few in color), photos of the Marines in action during training, with some historical photos of wartime action, base buildings and other Camp Lejeune sites and more. There are also a few pages of unit history. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay and only one other elsewhere. The book is approx. 11 1/4" x 8 5/8". It is in good to very good condition. The hard red, white and blue embossed cover has only slight wear, but does have some light soiling. There is no cracking inside either the front or back cover. The white endpapers have browned considerably, mostly around the edges. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have moderately browned. I see no writing in the book.
