80 Vintage Pictures Street Railways Detroit Electric Motor Cars #124

Description: I obtained several thousand RR photos at an estate sale, and will be listing new ones all the time until I run out. This is a Very Good Condition Lot of 80 Black and White (some sepia) Vintage Pictures of Street Railways Detroit Electric Motor Cars #124 - 1798. Not all cars between those numbers are here, but all that are here are between those numbers. A Handful of the pictures appear to be manufacturer's pictures. A few show the same car several years apart, as shown in pics 7&8. Many of the pictures say 'Barney Collection' and a photo number not related to the car number on back, whatever that means. Many of the pictures have typed and/or handwritten Notations on Back, shown in the samples above and most have a rubber stamp "Dept. of St. Rys, Detroit". The municipal company Detroit Street Railways existed from about 1922 - 1938, but electric rail cars existed before and after this particular company and some of the pics appear to be before and after this company existed Very few have street names (or possibly cable car routes) on back. Most of the cars have advertising signs. All Black & White Photographs about 3" (7.5 cm) x 5" (7 cm). Some slightly larger and some slightly smaller. Some similar photographs are going for $17 or more each, so this price is a great discount. The pictures shown are a representative sample.
