Description: Published in 1928, this book was commissioned by the city of Kyoto to commemorate the Enthronement Ceremony of Emperor Showa that was held in Kyoto. The books were printed and distributed as a gift from the city to the distinguished guests who came to the ceremony. Eight art works of then a prominent artist Insho Domoto (1891 ~ 1975) who was a resident of the city were chosen for the beautiful sceneries of Kyoto. Domoto endorsed the project by allowing his work to be replicated by skilled workmen and signing them. The books were printed to be gifts and not for sale.
