Description: The pleiones in this offer are Pleione grandiflora, praecox, maculata, lichangensis, formosana, 'Purple', albiflora and forrestii. Pleiones are easy to grow. They are found growing in mountainous forests of Asia. These pleione, like all pleiones grow during spring and summer, losing their leaves in the fall. They are dormant during late fall and winter at which time little or no water is needed. They require a cool temperature rest in order to bloom. If grown indoors you can place the dormant pseudobulbs in the refrigerator. When grown outdoors they should have about 50% shade during the growing season. They generally bloom in the spring with the exception of P maculata.
