The individual boxes are date coded ‘43’ + ‘44’ (1943-1944), making them 80+ years of age. These are not reproductions they are the real deal ‘NOS’. Each plug is engraved: AC SPARK PLUG FLINT MICH MADE IN USA.They have been out of production for many years and are harder and harder to locate. (6) of these Spark Plugs came in their WWII wax sealed cocoons (cosmoline). You will receive (4) Spark Plugs (cosmoline sealed) and (2) cosmoline that I unwrapped to confirm their integrity). There are (2) of these that never had cosmoline and you can see that in the photos. Additionally, I noticed the printing on their porcelain varies in color in that (6) have a light greenish tint and (2) a light blue. Though all the Spark Plugs otherwise are exactly identical. You will receive these (8) Spark Plugs with their little boxes. All the plugs retain their original factory bluing. I deal in a decent volume of Vintage Spark Plugs (click, see other items atop this page). Accordingly, I can distinguish a true gem of a Spark Plug verses an average condition part when I see it. To the point, these are Excellent Examples of ‘NOS’ Vintage AC Spark Plugs. (see photos and use the zoom).Thread size is 7/8”. Each Spark Plug comes with its original WWII era Steel Gasket / Washer.The AC 74 superseded these earlier AC Spark Plugs: AC E-6, AC L-6, AC L-7.My Vintage NOS Spark Plugs may be between 40-70+ years of age. The boxes, which house the plugs, may show typical or various signs of shelf wear, natural aging or factory production / handling marks, end flaps torn or missing....etc....as it is a paper product.
