Description: On offer, we have 8 antique European maps published by Caillet, Paris Rue Jacob. These are lithographs with hand colored outlines. Each map has small vignettes. Hippolutus Caillet opened his lithography business in 1850, we believe these were published in a book soon after that date. Each map measures approximately 13 1/4" X 10" including the margins. Included in this collection are "Rusia de Europa, Grecia, Prusia y Polonia, Suiza, Austria, Suecia y Noruega, Imperio de Alemania and Espana y Portugal. These maps are in very good condition. The printing is bold and clear. The papers have toned a bit, the edges have wear and most maps have fingerprints. Grecia has a spot on the lower right corner. These have been handled and have some light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on maps, please view my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of her treasures. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
