The Ceramano range was specifically introduced to showcase the work and designs of Hans Welling and these items are the pinnacle of quality and design for this era.The Altamira decor range is based on the cave paintings located in Spain, the first to be found in the world. With a cream/natural main glaze decorated with 5 separate stylistic "prehistoric" animal designs (deer, horses cows etc) in various shades plus an additional design pattern.The modernist vase design contrasts markedly with the ancient decor in a superb juxtaposition.It is a fine example of art pottery rarely seen for sale. This piece is handmade and decorated, Hand inscribed to the base 117 W Geramny, Ceramano, Altamira also an initial signature W.
