Description: Lot of 70+ letters written to German-American immigrants Fritz and Hedchen Reinke (who eventually settled in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area), sent by Ernst and Lydia Rohwerder, among others, from Prussia and Germany, etc., spanning the years 1885-1967, including the Reinke's immigration to America and two World Wars. One letter is from a Steamship & Land Agent (1907). Ten letters are from 1933-1941, most sent from Königsberg, Germany. Two post-war letters included are from Dr. Max Rohwerder, who is possibly the same Major Max Rohwerder who wrote a diary (1939-1942) that was sited in many publications including The End: The Defiance and Destruction of Hitler's Germany, 1944-1945.
