Very labor intensive, first the top cover is removed with a large Track Hoe, then workers manually shovel and pry the layers of Tiger Eye out of the ground, then carry up and out to the chipping area where the matrix is hand chipped off. Then sorted by color and grade. Hand loaded onto a truck and taken to the yard for final sorting. All in a desert area near the Kalahari.
